2) Minutes of 2007 AGM not available
3) The accounts were taken as read being proposed by A Wilson and seconded by Nigel Mackley. Members noted that pavilion costs were high which is to be addressed this year. There may also be extra income from Bruce Findlay yet to be received but there was also no bill from the ACA. Membership fees to remain the same for 2008.
4) Clive Hinchcliffe gave the report from the season and commented on how the club could improve the structure of practices and take in more fielding practices. Although the club finished 5th in the league it was recognised that this should be improved upon this year. The club deserved credit for finishing 2nd in the Thistle 7’s tournament.
The 2nd XI team report was given by Nigel King, Captain in 2007, he urged the club to focus more on the junior side and in particular coaching in a more formal, structured environment.
5) Nigel M gave the junior section report which he was heavily involved in throughout the season in which there were 6 completed matches. The sponsorship of Ross Deeptech was of a great benefit and this has already been confirmed in the 2008 season. It was noted that there was no support from the ACA during the year but there was a Northern Area indoor training throughout the winter which club members attended. Nigel expects the u13 and u15 sides to be strong this year as players mature and gain more experience. A Wilson reiterated the clubs duty to introduce kids into cricket and then develop their skills and appreciation for the game. A possibility of communicating with the rugby club over timing of training and fixture may help attendance during the summer. It was noted that ASDA are the kwik cricket sponsors so the club should approach Portlethen branch.

10) Forthcoming events: from March 8th 1-3pm in the leisure centre for seniors only thereafter for 4 weeks the first hour for senior and the second for juniors. April 12th is the first match away at Forfar to play Strathmore and then on the 19th away at Montrose. The first league match is on the 26th of April. STCC has not entered into the small clubs cup.
March 15th has been suggested as a poker night and to use up the booze left over from the fun day in August.
Dave Long suggested putting up the trophy cabinet and new pictures of the teams on the wall of the pavilion but permission would have to be sought first.
The chairman thanked everybody for their attendance.
