This former Crescent player is an amiable and dependable opening bat with a fine defence, and can read when to open out. Invariably one or two big scores a season, although lack of them this season was what probably influenced his decison to hang up his gloves at the end of 2009.

Reluctant keeper, but a commanding presence behind the sticks; always thinking in the field and a good voice of reason for his Captain; not always listened too though. Makes a fine tea!
