Taken on the role of 2nd XI Captain in 2008 and 2009 with his own distinctive style (so they say). Still, must have done something right on account of the 2nd's doing the Grade 4 double in 08. A more difficult season in 2009 in a higher league; still managed to avoid relegation.

From a dynasty of South African cricketers for whom the game is as much a heritage as a sport, at times it seems the "latent talent" has skipped a generation.

Has shown signs of a return to batting form (now that he's in the 2nds) but still plays better in the nets. Managed to win the 2nd XI batting in 2009. Has been known to field like a cat.....yeah, I know the stuffed panther joke!! Still a lot fitter than some of the young-un's.

A surprise bowler: each ball is a surprise to everybody; useful when trying to break a partnership.
