STCC 2nd XI v. Ellon 2nds Stonehaven 54 all out, Ellon 60 for 1.

A strong 1st XI left a very young side to fend off Ellon 2nds. Ellon won the toss and put the home side into bat in overcast conditions.

Only 5 batsmen managed to trouble the scorers with Bruce Findlay and Callum Findlay reaching double figures on 16 and 10 respectively.H. Owen took for 5 wickets for 10 runs for Ellon and S.Barrett took 3 wickets for 12 runs, knocking Stonehaven 2nds all out for 54 runs off of 27 overs.

Captain for the day Bruce Findlay elected to open with Matthew Greig and Pete Law with Pete taking Stonehaven’s only wicket with figures for 1 for 15 off of 4 overs. Opening bowler Matthew Greig restricted the opening batsmen to only scoring 8 runs off his 5 overs.

Ellon managed to pass Stonehaven's total with ease off of 17 overs reaching 60 for 1 with I.Duncan and S.Dalton both not out on 24 and 12 respectively.
