2006 FAMILY FUN DAY

The Fun Day is organised and run by club members and willing volunteers and has become an annual event, with steadily increasing attendance, year-on-year. Local teams of non-members (usually from various pubs, Clubs, Cadets and the Police etc.) battle it throughout the day, culminating in the final that draws the attention of everybody. The onlookers are kept informed throughout by the MC, who between announcements plays some “dodgy" music.

The crowds enjoy the cricket, cake stalls, the burger bar, (selling delicious burgers by Stonehaven's own master butcher Charles McHardy), tombola, beer tent and various fun activities for all the family in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

Head chef Drew asks : "So how are we going to sell all these Charles McHardy burgers Brian?"

Sous chef replies: Don't ask me...and no, I'm not wearing a girly apron!"

Head chef: "Sacré bleu, I have it, we get the Ladies to sell the burgers."

Problem solved, after the feast, the ladies assemble for their Indaba!

Apparently the cricket was good too. The winners were...............? Come on guys, fill in the blanks; I wasn't there! Likewise anyone who has photos of the cricket played, could they please forward on to me: Dave Long.
