Thistle 2nd XI Win Johnston Cup Final

Stonehaven Thistle 2nd XI rounded off their phenomenal season on Saturday when they lifted the Johnston Cup after a nail-biting final against Portcullis at Duthie Park.
Having already won the ACA Grade 4 title this season achieving the league-cup double for the first time in the Club’s history means they will also receive the Thomson Shield at the Grades Dinner.

The full side for the final was: Barry Milne, Daniel Colvin, Bruce Findlay, Calum Findlay, David Long Snr. (Captain) Dominic Cruickshanks, Bryan Snelling, James Crozier, David Long Jnr. Paul Hay and Nigel King. 12th Man: Matthew Colvin.

Scotland v. New Zealand ODI

A few intrepid fans from Thistle made the "long" journey to see the Saltires take on The Black Caps in the ODI at Mannofield. Scotland were desperate to put on a good show but in the end just looked desperate! Still, it was a treat to see Brendan McCullum and Ross Taylor going through their repertoire of shots in the short time it took to the kitchen staff to prepare lunch.
