STCC JUNIOR SECTION

Within the ranks of STCC there are several experienced players and a few dedicated coaches at standard level. The junior section was reformed for 2006 taking advantage of cricket’s NEW popularity.

At present we have about 20 juniors playing at under 13 and 15 levels competing in the local league with older players being integrated into our existing 2nd XI. Additional players are always welcome.

Junior Practice

Indoor training begins on Saturday 8th March for Seniors. However participation by Juniors in Senior sessions is possible by invitation only, on safety grounds.

Junior sessions begin on March 15th and run to April 5th with the first outdoor training beginning on Thursday 10th April.

A donation of £1 is expected for each session.

Outdoor practice will take place from 10th April to the end of August. Junior practice is on Thursdays at Mineralwell Park from 5pm - 6.30pm

Feel free to volunteer your services to the co-ordinator. Transport to away matches is always at a premium and you get to participate in the teams major triumphs and minor calamities. Your spectator support is always appreciated too though the Mexican Wave is optional.
