Within the ranks of STCC there are several experienced players and a few dedicated coaches at standard level. The junior section was reformed for 2006 taking advantage of cricket’s NEW popularity.
At present we have about 20 juniors playing at under 13 and 15 levels competing in the local league with older players being integrated into our existing 2nd XI. Additional players are always welcome.

Juniors – Kwik Cricket Festival 25th May 2008
A squad of nine keen Juniors aged 6 to 10 years participated in the Kwik Cricket Festival at Stoneywood Dyce on Sunday 25th May 2008.
Stonehaven were joined by teams from Aberdeenshire, Huntly, Banchory and Stoneywood Dyce.
The teams played each other in a round robin with all games being exciting and very closely contested. The highlight for Stonehaven was overcoming Stoneywood Dyce by a 2 run margin. This form of cricket with smaller plastic bats and soft balls encourages the Juniors to display and develop their skills particularly in the case of the younger members.
All the Juniors thoroughly enjoyed themselves as did the parents on this beautiful sunny day.
Further Kwik Cricket Festivals, organised under the auspices of the Aberdeen City/Shire Cricket Development Group, are scheduled for 27th July at Mannofield and 17th August at Huntly.

Feel free to volunteer your services to the co-ordinator. Transport to away matches is always at a premium and you get to participate in the teams major triumphs and minor calamities. Your spectator support is always appreciated too, though the Mexican Wave is optional.
