Matt is one of Thistle's true home-grown talents, having quickly risen to prominence as a wicket-keeper in the successful junior side of the 90's. After a spell at Uni. he rejoined the senior section and has been an integral part of the set-up ever since batting in the middle order.

Lost his keeping slot to Ali Milroy for 2008 and to a certain extent, lost his batting form too; these things are cyclical and Matt has the determination to come back from this. Ok, so he tried, and tired, sometimes in 2009.

A great team player, on and off the field. Did a great job as Club Secretary. Stepping down and away in 2010 to go to live in Alford; now there's a bad move!
