Mineralwell Park, Stonehaven is the home ground of Stonehaven Thistle Cricket Club.

Latitude: 56°58'13.59"N  Longitude: 2°12'48.83"W  Height: 0 metres above sea level

Although situated in a public park, both pitch and ground are looked after by the Club groundsman. Careful maintenance and investment over the last 15 years has eliminated the erratic and lethal bounce that Mineralwell was infamous for.

A prepared pitch at Mineralwell

Today's batting tracks are some of the hardest and flatest pitches in the Aberdeenshire Grades with only Aberdeenshire and Stoneywood Dyce being superior. With the introduction of roll-on roll-off covers for 2007 the wickets have improved further and subsequent integration of a higher clay content topsoil should make for harder tracks in the future.

KP

Like England, its one of the Thistle players who doubles as groundsman, only difference is the number of runs he scores! Oh, and one gets paid more than the other.
