Better availability for 2009 made "The King" a force to be reckoned with and so he proved to be; winning the Grade 3 bowling, Club bowling and taking a hat-trick. His 8 for 9 at Ellon should have been 9 for 9; the batsman edging it onto the off- stump before the keeper caught it. The bails never came off and the umpire didn't see the edge.

He's faster than he looks when it comes to bowling. A left hand delivery that skids onto you before you know it from a Thistle stalwart of many years (its alright Nige, we won't say quite how many).

A good eye for the ball, so you've got to get him early. A canny cricket brain, 2nd team Vice Captain in 2008.
