A special award was made to Alex Keith for the worst drop catch (in living memory). At Banchory, after several dropped catches had already come Thistle's way a harmless looping dolly floated towards Alex. Having so much time on his hands Alex began to chuckle. The chuckle became a laugh and sure enough the ball fell into his eager hands.......then fell out again! Never mind Alex, theres always next season.
Having said that Alex also won the D'Agostino Batting Trophy and the Highest Partnership Award with Ali Milroy (157) whilst making the seasons highest score of 115 in the process. Not bad for his first season with Thistle.
Clive Hinchcliffe claimed the bowling trophy for the ninth time; his fourth in succession while Jonathan Van Der Ruit claimed both the Special Batting (for his imperious 92 not out against Artisans) and Special Bowling Awards (5 for 10 off 20 balls against Banchory).
The President's Special Award went to Nigel King for his organisation of the fabulous Club tour to Leicester earlier in the year and the Captain's Award to Brian Campbell.
A Special mention of Matthew Greig who won the Under 15 bowling. Just shows how good he is because he also won the 2nd XI bowling!
