Symon Jacobsen

"Farmer"

This ex-Thistle player returned in 2006, not so much with a bang, more kinda eased himself into the middle order batting with some big hitting. A safe pair of hands and as strong as an ox, Symon proved he has what it takes with the bat; who will forget how he raced to 69 against St Ronalds in 2006 when he opened the innings for the first time.

He showed an all-round ability too with the gloves in 2007 but for 2008, patchy availability has curtailed his development which on the odd occasion meant he had to turn out for the 2nd XI; much to their delight.

Had other things on his mind latterly in 2008; not Cricket (no commitment), not farming (sacrilege), but baby Jake born on 4th December. (And one's on the way!?)

Oddly enough Symon is always available to play "if its raining!"
